It’s time for the most decadent – yet most fun – truffle event in NSW! Get your best Oscars-worthy dress and tuxedo ready, add some rhinestones to your gumboots; it’s time for Borrodell’s Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner!
While you’re dressed to the nines, you’ll go hunting for Borrodell’s Black Perigord truffles with our master forager, then retire to a private underground cellar for a warming house-cideer. Behind the scenes, our resident and special guest chef Corey Costelloe (Executive Chef at Rockpool Bar and Grill Sydney) will be creating your five-course indulgent degustation truffle feast using the day’s find. This is one of the region’s most iconic events – listed by media personality, Lyndey Milan OAM, as one of her top 3 Australia-wide food destinations!
Borrodell has the oldest truffle oak trees on mainland Australia and – as with all quality produce – freshness is key to unlocking all the nuances of a truffle’s flavour profile. The Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner are a Winter Wonderland treat where diners not only glam-up but rug up! Guests roam the vines and orchard of Borrodell to search for truffles with the truffle dogs, then retire to the warmth and candlelight of the wine cellar for a fine dinner prepared by some of the finest chefs in the country.
Every year, the Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner host a charity auction and this year we are proudly supporting Koala rescue organisations. Guests can bid on artworks as well as the prized truffles found during the hunt. Guests are not only encouraged to dress like they’re attending the Oscars – but there are also prizes for the best gumboot! So get out the hot glue and paste those diamontes to your favourite pair to be in the running for a prize!
Guests travel from near and far to be a part of this spectacular and memorable evening (please contact us if you need to use the Borrodell helipad). For those that love some fun, great wine, and of course a luxe meal of fresh farm truffles, book your tickets today.
