It’s a Long Weekend Celebration of BBQ’d Prawns, a Cold One, Some Fun Lawn Games and a DJ
When it’s a long weekend, you’ve got multiple days to celebrate. That’s why we’re hosting Prawns on the Lawn, your newest annual foodie tradition. Join us on Saturday the 27th of January for barbequed smokey, sizzling skewered prawns and some Aussie classics are given a modern spin (cheese & vegemite arancini balls, anyone?) - including indigenous produce either grown at Borrodell or sourced hyper-locally. It’s going to be bloody delicious. We’re also setting up games on the ground including giant jenga or bring your own cricket set for some backyard cricket, and more. In the spirit of mateship and community, you’re also more than welcome to bring your own game and either play with your friends and family or make some new buddies on the day. Pick a picnic rug and enjoy a casual afternoon.
Adding to the ambience of the day is our local DJ who will be playing the best Aussie classics as well as the best First Nations artists in the country. Think INXS, Spiderbate, Thelma Plum, Velvet Trip, Radical Son, and hey, even a bit of Cold Chisel.
Included in your ticket price is a glass of Borrodell’s wine or cider, with our Sky Bar selling bevvies until we wrap up the day at dusk.
Tickets are $85 per adult, and $50 for kids under 15.
